Project description
The Wellcome Collection commissioned a retail range exploring the science and global impact of vaccines — one of the most complex and consequential subjects in modern medicine, and exactly the kind of material that benefits from being made visually navigable.
The project drew on a wide body of research, spanning vaccine development, infectious disease and global health data. Working closely with Wellcome's Infectious Disease team, the content was carefully shaped and refined to ensure both clarity and scientific accuracy.
This material was distilled into a cohesive visual language — structuring milestones, mechanisms and global patterns into a clear, layered narrative, supported by detailed borders, characterful illustrations and moments of lightness to draw people in.
The final infographic became the foundation for a scalable gift range, applied across tea towels, aprons, tote bags and more — translating complex research into objects designed to inform, engage and spark conversation.
