Royal Armouries

Project description
Working with the Royal Armouries, the project drew on collection research and archival material to explore the design and symbolism of Henry VIII’s ceremonial armour.
The challenge was to translate a highly detailed and technical subject into something accessible for a broad audience. Armour components, craftsmanship, and historical context were carefully distilled into a clear visual narrative.
This was developed into an infographic-led approach, structuring complex object information into a format that could be quickly understood without losing depth or authenticity.
The final design became the foundation for a retail range, presenting detailed collection research in a way that is both informative and engaging — extending the story of the object beyond the gallery space.
