Open Research Toolkit

Project description
Open research is about making knowledge transparent, accessible, and shared. We translated these principles into a practical visual system — designed to be used by non-designers across a wide range of formats.
At its core is a modular toolkit: a cohesive set of icons, colour, and layout guidance that makes it easy to create clear, consistent communications without specialist skills.
The visual language uses simple, open forms to reflect collaboration, accessibility, and knowledge sharing, supported by straightforward typographic rules that help structure information and improve clarity.
Rather than a fixed set of templates, the toolkit was designed as a flexible starting point — something teams can adapt and build on over time.
The result is a system that turns complex ideas into accessible, everyday communication.
