National Museums Scotland

Project description

Working with National Museums Scotland, the project drew on research and interpretation material to tell the story of Dolly the Sheep — one of the most significant scientific breakthroughs of the 20th century.

The challenge was to translate the science of cloning, along with its wider historical context, into a format that could be easily understood by a broad audience. Complex processes were distilled into a clear visual narrative, balancing accuracy with clarity.

Humour, wordplay, and characterful illustrated details were used throughout to make the subject more approachable, helping to engage visitors who might otherwise find the science inaccessible.

The final design became the foundation for a popular retail range, presenting the story of cloning in a way that is both memorable and widely accessible.
